It is with privilege that we announce the II International Symposium on Neurosciences and II Luso-Brazilian Symposium on Neurosciences under the auspices of INCT-Institute of Biomedicine of the Brazilian Semi-Arid (IBISAB), conducted by the Laboratory of Biology of Healing, Ontogeny and Nutrition of Tissues (LABICONTE ), www.labiconte.ufc.br, whose main objective is to foster the integration of researchers and neuroscientists linked to postgraduate programs and institutes / centers in Neuroscience in Brazil and Portugal and with the participation of some renowned neuroscientists from the United States. Thus, the symposium intends to create a scientific environment to the establishment and consolidation of intra and interinstitutional partnerships and collaborations in Nervous System research and to discuss some issues related to the CAPES PrInt project.

In addition, this event aims to be a forum for debates and discussions on topics of high relevance in neuroscience, benefiting undergraduate and postgraduate students of the biomedical courses of the Federal University of Ceará and other higher education institutions with an interest in the area. The themes of the symposium contemplate the current research in the laboratory, but also offers topics in clinical research, thus contributing to the discussion of translational research "from the bench to the patient's bed" and spreading neuroscience to the public and inspiring young scientists.
