CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

 

This is the first call for abstracts and announcement of the XXII XXIII Tropical Medicine Research Center & Pharmacology  (February, 14-15th, 2020), which will be held at Casa José de Alencar  Auditorium (Av. Washington Soares, 6055, Messejana, Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil) along with instructions for submitting abstracts. We are looking forward to having the abstracts submitted as soon as possible for our two-day meeting.  The scientific program board has decided to define a deadline of February 10th, which will allow us to distribute the electronic abstract book online in a timely manner. Please review the instructions for submitting abstracts below. We are trying to make this as easy as possible. Abstracts from all speakers are strongly encouraged so that we have a good representation of the meeting lectures. An abstract book will appear in the meeting website (http://www.ibisab.ufc.br/23tmrc).

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

 

The XXIII TROPICAL MEDICINE RESEARCH CENTER & PHARMACOLOGY will be held on February 14-15th in Fortaleza, CE, Brazil. All researchers and students from the Institute of Biomedicine of the Brazilian Semiarid (INCT-IBISAB, www.nubimed.ufc.br) and CAPES/Print related-laboratories from the Federal University of Ceará and other neighbor Universities are welcome to attend the meeting. Abstracts selected for the meeting will be gathered into one daily session, taking into account related topics. In due time, we encourage all participants to confirm the attendance interest.  Principal Investigartors, fellows, students, and others in training who have participated in clinical or basic research during the last 12 months are encouraged to submit abstracts. All poster presentaters will have 30 min in a printed poster. Printed posters should be fit in 90 cm (width) X 90 cm (height) borders.

 

All invited speakers and attendees are encouraged to submit an abstract regarding his/her talk and researcher interest in the meeting program. Abstract instructions are given below. Abstracts (limited to a single page or 250-300 words) should focus on representing the invited talk ongoing research. Abstracts submitted for presentation at other scientific meetings within the last year are acceptable, but should be updated to reflect the current status of your research.

 

Please acknowledge the sources of funding for your research beneath your abstract, especially funding from NIH or Brazilian CNPq/CAPES grants. Submit your abstract via e-mail to Aldo Lima

(e-mail: tmrcfortaleza@gmail.com). Receipt of your abstract will be confirmed by return e-mail. If you haven’t received confirmation within 48 hours, or if you need more information, please contact Aldo Lima by the following e-mail address: alima@ufc.br.

Note that the email address: tmrcfortaleza@gmail.com is the only recipient address to submit abstracts.

 

Additional Format Guidelines:

Abstracts should be sent via e-mail in a Word application.

Margins (top, bottom, left and right) should be one inch.

Please make sure your Abstracts are in 11 pt. ARIAL font.

Each Abstract should have a bolded title, followed by the author(s), and their department and division names.

Each Abstract should be structured by Background, Objective, Design/ Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
